Original Description:
An excellent Solid Walnut Dining Table probably made around southern Pennsylvania or Virginia 1860-70. This table has a nicely detailed and carved paw feet on the bottom of the turned fluted legs, all of solid Walunt. Three original leaves are included and the table opens and closes smoothly with the double leg center section making it very stout when it is fully extended and all the legaves are in. A beautiful table that could be displayed in a primitive or semi formal decor and l...ook great either way.
Condition: Very good. All original parts. Newer refinish to the top and leaves but not skinned or over sanded down to still show the beautiful aged color and patina of the Walnut. Tops and leaves still show original age marks under a beautiful hand applied and rubbed satin finish. Base has all original finish cleaned and restored.
Measurements: 48” x 48” closed 84” with all leaves in.
