You are viewing for auction a beautiful example of Mid Century Modern Art tile mosaic designed by Evelyn Ackerman, circa 1957. This "Bird" mosaic is in excellent condition and is an impressive size measuring 35 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 1 inches. This wonderful mosaic is in excellent condition with no visual signs of damage or loss.(The wood frame has some scuff on the edge in areas, but the frame is perfect for the time period of this piece.) Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman are American Industri...al designers who as a team made contribution to the aesthetic of California mid-century modern with their ceramics, wood carvings, mosaics. textiles and enamels in home furnishings and architectural elements. The Ackermans sold their products through Jenev and ERA Industries. (This mosaic bears the original ERA label on the back as pictured.A wonderful  glass tile mosaic is quite colorful with golds, blues, lavendar, tan, black, orange and whites placed to create individually unique pieces. What a wonderful work of art by an important California artist. This is a beauty!
