Original Description:
RARE STANLEY NO. 39 13/16" DADO PLANE.  Cast iron and steel, 8" long, 13/16" wide, none of these planes were ever marked No. 13/16 cast into the bed, apparently the No. 7/8" plane was milled down to 13/16", the NO. 39 remains, but the fraction 7/8 was milled off prior to japanning, the plane is in original "AS FOUND" condition, painted a long time ago in a three color scheme, Silver, Green and Black, plane is exactly 13/16' wide at the outside of the spurs, the body is 25/32" wide..., the body on a 7/8' plane is 27/32" wide, body is marked STANLEY PAT.AUG. 12 02 NO.39, cap screw is marked with the Stanley "V" logo-1910-1919, plane is complete as found with NO blade, original very light rust on "unpainted" surfaces, and, except as noted is in VG original condition, an addition to your collection until a better example comes along.  HAPPY BIDDING!
