One of the most spectacular tropicalaroid species, it is very rare in the wild and has only been collected on ahandful of occasions. Although young plants show characteristic leaves fromearly on, mature plants can be quite large, so this should be taken intoaccount when planning future space requirements. My plants are seedlings of a2015 cross of two artificially cultivated plants and are direct descendants ofthe type series. The plant offered is beginning to show the first evidence ofthe magnificent, bullate, glossy leaves that are characteristic of this species. This species is of easy pot culture under intermediate to hot tropicalconditions, but can handle brief spells of overnight low temperatures at leastinto the high 40s F with no visible damage.
