very unusual liberty & co tudric desk clock, made in the arts & crafts period of the early 1900's and easily recognisable as coming from the portfolio of designs that formed the basis if the tudric & cymric ranges pewter & silver ware sold by liberty & co from their regents street store, these designs were by archibald knox, oliver baker, david veasey plus many others, the pewter i...s in a polished condition with three copper hearts, the copper hearts were probably enamelled originally but still look good, the clock has been sitting on my desk for the last few days and has been running consistently although it is running fast so will need adjusting, it would appear to be a later replacement but is in keeping with the design ethic of the clock, it measures 4.75" across the bottom and 4, 25" tall, in all a nice and unusual little clock, please see our other auctions for more pieces from the decorative arts era, art nouveau pewter, tudric, archibald knox, kayserzinn, wmf
