Norfolk & Western N&W G-12-8-0 Alco Rok-Am (S-132) Brass HO Custom Paint. Alco imported this can motor powered Whyteclass Consolidation from Rok-Am of Korea. The model has been upgraded with a NWSL gearbox. The engine now runs well. The model is painted and we see Pennsylvaniamarking but the engine is in fact a N&W G-1 prototype. A total of 14 engines of this class made upthe roster that included road numbers 200-206 and 352-358 and were delive...red in1898. The coal fired 237, 415 pound enginedeveloped a boiler pressure of 180 PSIof steam the powered the 20 inch bore by 24 inch stroke cylinders. The Stephenson Valve Gearing equipped locosof the class rested on 50 inch drivers and could develop a tractive effort of19, 178 pounds. Most were scrapped by theN&W during the 1920s or sold off to other smaller southern railroads. The wheel plating of the model is intact.
