Antique Art Deco Hammered Copper Mantel Clock Brass Fruit Numeral Cast Iron Base
Very unusual and rather charming hammered copper mantel clock in the shape of a plate with delightful polished brass fruit, cherries, thistle heads, and flower numerals with an offset cast iron base the underside being covered in an old worn baize fabric to stop scuffs to surfaces - this clock is not working and needs a new movement - it seems at some point it had a battery movement put on the back ...with plastic hands - this would be easy to replace this - there is lovely oxidisation to the iron base adding a green patina - this clock is so different and attractive -well worth having new movement- please check photographs which form part of the description and do help - lovely unusual piece in the Arts and Crafts style using plenty of tactile and attractive raw materials with imagination and flair - a very unusual hand made piece - don't miss it
