Newer Japanese LACQUER INKSTONE CASE Box from a local estate. This is not at all my area of expertise so please ask any questions prior to bidding. This lovely lacquered piece is black with a colorful tree and gazebo-like shelter on top. The interior of the lacquer box holds a gorgeous carved tray of some sorts, perhaps for trinkets? This is all enclosed in a fabric lined case, with gloves and a cleaning cloth. This is truly in amazing condition, appears new. I do not believe this is a...n antique so bid accordingly. The lacquer box measures 9 inches long and 7binches across at the widest point. Please look at pictures for best description.
