TWO 1948 CLEVELAND INDIANS WORLD SERIES PENNANT VINTAGE COLOR 4 MUSEUM

Here are two very rare original Cleveland Indians red felt pennants from the 1948 World Series. Both Pennants are unhung, no pin marks, no damage, no holes.
The First Pennant: A vibrant red felt 1948 Cleveland Indians World Series pennant. It has amazing original color on the Indian and his head-dress. Lovely red, white, blue, black, pink.... No fading on the colors. There are a few small wrinkles which should lay out in a display case. The lettering is... solid. It has all 4 tassles / ties. Sharp and straight edges, the only small imperfections are: There is a small paint chip in the Indian head-dress. The edge threads by the tassles are slightly loose and yellow tassles have accumulated slight dust and are darkened. (The remaining stitching on it is solid.) Excellent beautiful condition. The size is about 12 x 30 inches.
The Second Pennant: A nice red felt Cleveland Indians pennant, it is unmarked, as best as I can tell it is from the same year. It has always been together with the 1948 World Series pennant. It is red with white lettering. It has all 4 tassles / ties. Sharp and straight edges. Also no holes, no marks, no damage. The only small imperfections are: that the edge threads by the tassles are slightly loose. (The remaining stitching is solid.) The tassles are somewhat wrinkled and slightly darker maybe from dust many years ago. Also the sharp point edge of the pennant is slightly darker on the back side edge. There is a small (about 1/8 inch) dark discoloration spot on the back. There are also some light wrinkles in this pennant which would also press flat in a display. The printing on this one is nice but not as sharp as the first pennant - but it's still nice and very good condition. It's size is about 11 inches by 28 1/2 inches.
I have taken numerous pictures to try and show all angles of these great Pennants and describe even the smallest imperfections so there are no surprises. The last picture is just a close up of the thick felt material and looks a little brighter than actual. These are the exact 2 Pennants you will receive. I am certain you will be very pleased with these in your collection. The World Series Pennant is so nice it could go in a Museum.
These are a wonderful tribute to the 1948 World Series. It is time to let them go to a new home and be properly displayed.
This is part of a nice variety of rare Indians items and books that are up for auction. I will ship this safely and securely in a hard cardboard box for transit. Sorry I am not willing to ship this Internationally.
