This is a gorgeous Art Nouveau era Ecumenical Podium. It came from an 1800s Stone Church in NYC.It is brass and very heavy. Stands 5' 4" (64") tall. I calculated the weight to be 144 lbs, by picking it up, weighing myself and subtracting my weight. Consider the weight a fairly accurate estimate.
The reading surface is inscribed "Presented by the daughters of" and then the monogram JSH.
