Large, exceptional quality, antique Russian 84 silver purse - Late Imperial period, circa 1910
The Engraved scene depicts a soldier on a horse pulling a cannon cart across a river - it is half sunken in the high water - the background shows a destroyed bridge and a hilly, pastoral scenery with a house and trees - work quality is EXQUISITE with outstanding detailing, precision and proportion
A beautiful, period monogram engraved on the left side
The interior with the original b...rown, soft leather in excellent condition and divided into 3 compartments including an enclosed one with hallmarked silver frame
Fully and clearly hallmarked for Ivan Petrovich Khlebnikov with a Kokoshnik mark used between 1908-1926 with charge and city marks - ALL PARTS are hallmarked - both sides of the case, the inner wallet silver frame and lock and also the original chain bears 3 hallmarks - altogether at least 16 hallmarks on 8 different locations
Excellent, original condition of all parts - with no dents, losses or repairs - leather interior intact and a firm lock - please view all detailed pictures
It measures 19.2 cm wide x 8.5 cm tall including lock - chain is about 40 cm long overall - weight is 399 grams
