Pre-Columbian Colima Redware Olla Pot
circa 100 BC - 250 AD
Colima pottery olla from Western Mexico. The bottom is rounded; widening gracefully and topped by a flared spout. Nicely burnished surface. In remarkable condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom and along the circumference contain areas where the red slip has worn away from use and from long term soil contact. Overall, a superior example. Approx. 5.5" tall x 6.5" across.
