Here we have a nice old double bit axe head that I cleaned up, modified and mounted up on one of my fully custom hand made finger grooved hardwood handles........I cut and reshaped this head out of an old Collins double bit head, its good old steel and has a tomahawk type feel to her..............This is a beautifully evil piece that has a rad feel in the hand.....I did an ultra rad textured finish to the surface of the steel to give her a chiseled/hammered look and fin...ished it off with gun bluing to get her an even dark evil color.........The cutting edge is psycho sharp and will cut you with little to no effort and the spike end is just waiting to poke a mean hole into something.........This psychotic axe is well beyond sharp, its not a toy and great care should be used when opening the parcel when she arrives as well as great safety and care when in use...........You are buying this piece directly from "Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace" and this is all MY ( Jesse Reed's) handwork.....Now back to business, This axe is approx. 26 inches long from the tip of the blade to the end of the tail on the handle and roughly 3 1/4 pounds total weight, the head alone is approx. 2 1/2 pounds...........The head has no cracks, huge chips or welds, major pits or other related damage, its still a solid old head.....................All in all a cool old head and I hope you see the same beauty in her that I do............Like I said this axe is sharp so she should not be considered a toy at any time, if she hits a finger or toe it will remove it...............The handle is one of MY classic shapes and is all made by me, by hand here in Oregon at the world famous " Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace"......The handle is made out of one piece of solid Ash..........I set the head using both wood wedges and epoxy and got a nice tight fit that looks good on both the top and bottom...........I sanded the handle silky smooth, gave her a flame job and used several coats of clear enamel for the final finish.............Please ask questions.....I do combine when ever possible....cheaper on you and easier on me....shipping quoted in auction is intended for the lower 48 United States only....all others may be more.....by bidding on this axe you verify and confirm that you are over the age of 18 and that seller(myself ) is not liable for injury or damage that may occur from use or misuse of this axe.....................................To all who may be interested...Look for "Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace" on facebook for more pictures and other odds and ends....thank you and good luck.......I am giving you the option on shipping of either parcel post or priority, I recomend priority because it reduces the chance of damage in transit, but its up to you, please specify when you pay witch shipping method you want, either way I will insure the parcel at my cost.......... ......................BY BIDDING ON OR BUYING THIS AXE YOU ARE REALLY SUPPORTING HONEST SMALL BUSINESS AMERICA, AND FOR THAT I THANK YOU!!!!!!!........BE GOOD HUMANS!!!!......THANKS AGAIN FOR SUPPORTING THE SMALL HONEST GUY, JESSE \m/................Posted with eBay Mobile
