Scandia Sheffield Fleur De Lis Homer Laughlin 10.5”x13.5”Serving Platter Mid Century VTG. This large platter was made in the 1960's for the Sheffield China Company by the Homer Laughlin China Company. The pattern was called "Scandia" and is a wonderful example of Mid Century geometric patterns being produced on dinnerware at that time and this particular piece features a brown fleur-de-lis pattern that is highlighted by crosshatching on the well of the plate. The border or outer ba...nd has a slightly ribbed design which encircles the entire platter. The massive size makes it perfect for serving during large family meals or other social gatherings! The base is marked "Scandia by Sheffield Made in U.S.A." This platter is in great vintage condition. There are no chips, no cracks and no crazing to the piece. There appears to be no color loss to the brown glaze on the well of the plate. The well itself is clean, stain-free and has little to no utensil marks. The base is clean and shows no signs of wear. The piece appears to almost have never been used. It measures 10.5”x13.5”
