I Will be listing a very nice assortment of vintage and antique machinist tools and related items from a recent estate of along time Convair machinist. All fresh to the market.
Up for auction is an original vintage/antique H. Gerstner & Sons 11 drawer machinist tool box/chest. Made from oak wood and each drawer has a metal bottom. One of the drawers is missing one of the pulls. Top hinges open as it should and has the original mirror. The front slide down door has some wea...r in the lower corners and does not want to stay latched. All the latches work as they should, except the right front latch comes loose. Has the remains of the original tag and is marked on the bottom. Leather handle is nice. The tool box is strong and has no cracks. Some wear to the original surface material. The drawers come out as they should. The tool chest is being sold as you see it and as I found it. Measures approx. 26 1/4" wide by 9 1/2" deep and 16" tall. Weight unpacked is 30 pounds. Rare item and is a must for any collector. Fresh from a 90 year estate collection and is fresh to the market. Glare spots are from the lights reflection and not on the items surface.
