Antique robe made of mesh or netting fabric with embroidered symbols. It is lined in a very nice silk brocade fabric. It may be a formal summer robe but I am not exactly sure.
The color of the background fabric is actually dark blue, not black.
The top of the robe measures 55 inches from sleeve to sleeve and the length is 37 inches.
The sleeves have some damage and may not have been finished, I see a moth that looks like it needs more embroidery for the wings. The si...des of the robe have some seam opening (see photo) in a small area. The closures were removed and the collar was stitched under. I unstitched it and then had to reattach a portion of the collar. I did a good job but I am not a professional tailor so it may need touching up.
