This 7 ¾” x 10 ¾” 193-page hardbound book is generally in very good condition, as is clipped dust jacket, of which there are 2, and a cardboard slipcover. Gilt titles in Engli...sh, and Chinese titles in green stamping, including border, on brown cloth covers. Internally, despite the passage of 41 years, pages are clean, bright and unmarked; binding is tight. Hinges are solid and book is square. EXCEPTION IS FRONT FLYLEAF EXCISED NEATLY OUT OF BOOK. This is the 11h printing, in 1977, of the 1962 2nd edition, which was a complete photographic reprint of the original 1935 publication, with the plates slightly re-arranged. A very nice edition of this classic text on Chinese Jade and an essential reference on the subject. PROFUSELY ILLUSTRATED with 39 color plates, 109 black and white photographs and 73 line engravings.
