London: London Printing & Publishing Co. n.d. c.1855.Three volumes bound as two. 3 engraved titles, plates and double-page maps - these hand-coloured in outline. 2 volumes small folio (11 x 7 1/2 inches), pag...es: 384:1-92 & 93-380:1-338:xxxix (Chronological Precis of the Events of the War & Index):(1, Directions to the Binder). Publisher's [?] de-luxe binding of full black calf, decorative gilt and blind borders to sides enclosing on the upper a gilt blocked battle scene (in blind on lower boards). Spines gilt blocked with military trophies and with crimson lettering piece. Some chipping to headbands and rubbing to extremities and corners, some foxing to prelims. Overall a handsome binding in good condition.
