Scarce hardcover first edition, first printing published by Cape in 1977.
The book is an ex-library copy, but appears very little used and is in very good condition, solidly bound with little wear. The black boards are clean with bright gilt titling to the spine.
Internally pages are clean. The only library stamps are on the top of the contents page and a small faint circular stamp at the base of the l...ast page. There is a security sticker on the rear paste down. No stamps or paper thinning to title or copyright page.
The rare dust jacket is in fine condition with no signs of library usage. All crisp and fresh - there is a tiny nick at the bottom of the spine (see photo) otherwise as new, priced £3.50 net on the front flap. Protected in an archival sleeve.
Although ex-library this is a very acceptable copy in an excellent dust jacket of a very scarce book- it was only printed once in hardback.
