I have here for sale 2 FIRST EDITION VOLUMES  of  IN DARKEST AFRICA OR THE DARK CONTINENT OR THE SOURCES OF THE NILE AROUND THE GREAT LAKES OF EQUATORIAL AFRICA AND DOWN THE LIVINGSTONE RIVER TO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN by HENRY STANLEY. With a total of 8 maps including a large fold out linen backed map and fold out map of the Survey of The Livingstone Falls, missing -2. Illustrated throughout with 34 plates (all present) and cuts within the text. They are quarter bound in lea...ther. Gilt title lettering to the spine which has 5 bands. Spine ends are rubbed. This book is an ex-library book with bar-code on the front endpaper. Frontpiece is torn at the bound edge in Volume 2. Blind stamp to the front boards. These books are in very good condition, boards are firm and they are tightly bound 522, 566 pages 23cm x 15cm.Postage will be by Air Mail outside the UK.  If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
