Full leather binding, worn and scuffed. Title page in red and black with small vignette, prev owner's stamp to the lower page. A few pages have been removed, with a number of lea...ves detached. 1492pp plus unpaginated index. Pages missing are - 481/2, 487/8, 485/6, 505/6, 557/8, 563/4, 575/6, 585/6, 603/4. 631/2, 639/40, 931/2, 945-498, 951-954, 959-962, 1001/2, 1157-1162, 1165/6, 1185/6, 1199-1206, 1225/6, 1257/8. I make it 28 pages missing in all. Some interesting illustrations of Roman History throughout. Scarce book, despite the missing leaves. Packed weight approx 1.5kg.One of a number of similar Items I am selling.
