This listing is for a Dynaco PAS-3 Vacuum Tube Stereo Preamplifier.
Cosmetically it is good but for loss of a few letters in "POWER" on the panel.
Sadly, I have no top cover for it.
I replaced all of the paper capacitors with fresh Mylar caps, even the ones on the front panel.
I replaced the Selenium rectifiers for the filament supply with fresh Silicon diodes.
I replaced the large electrolytic capacitors in the filament supply with fresh ones.
The high voltage filter... capacitor can is good but I can replace its capacitors for you if you prefer, using modern tubular capacitors at no added cost. I'll leave the can in place for looks.
It is guaranteed working.

The buyer has the option of having me install any of the various upgrade boards that are available for this preamplifier for the cost of any board set you chose and $50 for my time.This would be managed via a separate "Buy it Now" eBay listing.

While I cannot get the detent pots that take the tone controls out of the circuit, as seen in the PAS-3X, I can do the mod to remove the tone controls from the signal path.
It would be useful to know what the input impedance of the buyer's amplifier is.
Also, I could possibly do what Audio Research did with their version of this preamp, add a 12AU7 cathode follower stage. I could probably do it in a way so as to not drill any new holes in the chassis so it could be reversible.
With this mod, you would not need to worry about your amplifier's impedance and you could thus change power amps at will. This mod will dramatically lower the output impedance of the preamp, especially at low frequencies.This is a good thing...
I would do the tone control modification for $100 and the cathode follower for an additional $100.

Dynaco also put an electrolytic capacitor at the output of the tone controls to eliminate the 300 to 800 mV offset that a PAS-3 can present to the power amp (YUK!).
I replaced those two capacitors with higher values and in Mylar, far better capacitors!
