This auction is for a vintage chrome / silver anodized finish Ernst Leitz Leica M4 Rangefinder 35 mm film camera from 1968 - 1969 with a chrome Leica Leitz Wetzlar 1:4 / 21 mm Super-Angulon f/4 lens (which is installed on the camera in most of the photos), a Leitz Wetzlar 21 mm viewfinder made in Germany. The camera comes from an estate of the original owner. Serial number is 1208605. It has some minor wear such as where the strap has rubbed against the chrome end over time... but its minimal. Overall, it is a clean camera that was used but cared for. It is not show room new 'mint' yet it is well preserved as a good looking camera. A section of the faux leather on the back cover came off yet was reapplied. It seems to be working well mechanically though it has not been serviced. The self timer feature does work. It is being offered 'as is'. It The Leica M series is known for its minimalist resilience in taking beautiful pictures in all types of environments such as low light and fast moving objects. This is a mid-century classic looking camera. The Leica M4 is true classic among amateur and professional photographers. The 21mm lens glass optic has no scratches and no haze and comes with a hood and the original silver anodized lens cap with 'Leica' embossed across. The viewfinder is in excellent condition and comes with it's original box, though the box is not mint and the cover has tap repair work.
