Manuals with instructions and schematics are here.
From the paperwork: "The YES 5 is a complete microcomuputer on the board. Used as EPROM emulator."
Comes screwed into its original Yang briefcase. The memory card is loose.
All is "as found." Computer hums nicely when plugged in and the digital readout comes on when reset. Paperwork references the EPROM development system.
Seems a rar...e find from Yang. At one time was used in a school. Guessing this to be a teaching tool but just a guess. Measures about 14" x 10" in case. Cord is clean/nice.
At its release this was a $595 item + memory board. (According to paperwork; the case was a $100 upgrade.)
I am not a vintage computer guy and my guess is you'll know more about this than me. I'm happy to answer any questions if I can. Please be specific if you have a question.
Super clean from being stored in case. Case needs a light cleaning but is structurally sound. Clasps show minor wear. Paperwork (the original shipment record is dated August 30, 1983. Yang was located in Laurel, MD.
