You’re looking at a classic McIntosh MC 2105 stereo power amp in great shape and perfect working order. Panel lights are working, POT’s are clean, and the sound quality is awesome. Everything functions flawlessly, and there is no physical damage other than the normal patina one would expect on a component of this age.
The only issue I have notic...ed is that the right power meter needle doesn’t move. Both sides of the amp work perfect and the pots make zero noise along with the sound being very robust. I have noticed no background noise or popping of any kind.
I acquired the unit already mounted in the accessory walnut cabinet - in which it will be shipped - so I don’t have the original plastic feet (available from MacIntosh or $1.00 each). I also do not possess the original shipping carton; however, I will pack the unit and ship in a heavy duty, double box bolstered with dense foam blocks and padding. I will insure for the purchase price.
I inherited this item from a Mac enthusiast and collector(my uncle), so I know this unit was well taken care of and pretty sure he purchased it new! I do know, however, that the unit works beautifully. For the last few months I have been running it through a pair of B&W 604 s2, and the sound is flawless. I don’t have the space in my life for such heavy-duty componentry, so I am hoping to pass this classic piece of HiFi brilliance into appreciative hands.
Please let me know if you have questions on anything I didn’t cover here. Otherwise, happy bidding!
