The Bible text is printed in double columns in Black letter (Gothic) font.The complete Book of Common Prayer (1636 even with title page - hardly everpreent) The Old Testament (with title 1634 and prelims), No Apocrypha and New Testament (with title 1636), complete, with various woodcuts, colophons and decorated first chapter initials. Ends with a complete 1634 Psalter with musical bars (ending with colophon)Title: "The Holy Bible, containing the Old Testament, and the Nevv: Newly Tranflated out of the Originall Tongues: And with the former tranflations diligently compared and revifed, By his Majefties fpeciall commandement, Appointed to be read in Churches. London By Robert Barker, Printer to the Kings moft Excellent Maieftie, and the Affignes of Iohn Bill. 1634"Both this general title page as the New Testament title page is a woodcut-engraved title with words in a sort of heart shape in the center; woodcuts depict 12 tribes of Israel and 12 disciples.This QUARTO sized Bible is in an overall VERY GOOD condition. The binding is very good and the Bible can be opened and read on a daily basis but there some minor concerns on some pages. Overall clean pages some pages like in Psalm and book of prayer some pages are grubby with decent to large margins (all headers etc present). Some occasional smaller damages. First and last pages with some minor damages. Others than that truly a RARE BLESSED PIECE.
