GORHAM STERLING TEA SET KETTLE & STAND 1898 HAND DECORATED
A beautifully crafted 1922 Gorham sterling silver tea kettle on matching stand, retains the original hallmarked burner.
The set is much more more richly decorated than Grand Chantilly.
Inverted pear shape with wavy fluting panel alternating with satin highlightedacanthus and floral.Petal gadrooned rim in the Georgian manner.Rolled leaf crown tapering overhead swin...g handle.We had our silversmith replace the heat stops toallow sale worldwide.
Atop petal gadrooned foot stand.The original, hallmarked hinged dome cap burner.Chained securing pins, one replaced.Rolled S scroll lion paw and claw feet.
Never monogrammed.
This 1898 Gorham sterling tea kettle on matching stand is 12 inches tall and thecomplete set weighs 51 standard ounces.
In very fine condition.
Tea kettle interior clean as if little used.
Rich sterling throughout.
