AKAI GX - 635D REEL - TO - REEL TAPE DECK RECORDER SERVICED & FULLY

This auction includes a vintage Akai model GX-635D reel-to-reel stereo tape deck recorder in fully operable and exceptionally clean cosmetic condition. As the photos show, this tape deck is very clean top to bottom with very little wear and it is in perfect working condition. This is a 4-track stereo tape deck featuring a 3-motor direct capstan drive mechanism, feather touch logic controls, and auto-reverse / both direction recording. All the feet are in good shape and the power cord i...s not brittle. The side wood panels still look like new and all of the indicator lights and VU meter backlights are working. All of the rubber is in great shape and all of the heads are very clean with minimal wear. I had purchased this tape deck from the original owner at an estate sale about two months ago and I was told that he had it serviced last year and that it had not been used much since then. I was told that this tape deck was always located in a climate controlled, pet-free and smoke-free environment and was well cared for over the years. I recently went through this tape deck myself and confirmed that everything appears to be working properly. This tape deck comes as shown, without hubs or reels. This is a fine example of a very clean and properly working Akai tape deck.
