This a fragment only, containing woodcu...t title and prelims followed by only 3 parts, lacking large sections, see below: 'The Description of Britaine' 'Description of Irelande'The Historie of Englande'
In poor condition, bound (once) in the original 16th century leather binding over oak boards, boards with blind panelling. Measuring approx. 30cm x 22cm x 4cm. As can be seen from the photos the volume is in poor condition, leather is chipped/peeling and worn with numerous worm holes. Small metal remnants of clasps. Cracked and detached and spine chipped/torn. Internally cracked, shaken and contents detached/loose with stitching broken. First several leaves are tatty/frayed to edges. Outer page edges are bumped and tatty/creased in places. Several single wormholes at beginning of volume (touching occasional letters). The worming is heavier to inner margin of first section (touching letters). Lightly grubby, with some scattered small stains and marks, and the odd spot. Creases and numerous contemporary ink notes and smudges to margins. Please see photos carefully.

Despite its condition, this 16th century fragment contains much of interest and is worthy of restoration Fragment only.Containing woodcut title and prelims followed by 3 parts, these being:'The Description of Britaine' (125 of 126 leaves, lacking folio 94 otherwise complete), 'Description of Irelande' (A 28-leaf section, complete in itself), 'The Historie of Englande' (112 of 115 numbered pages, lacking final 2 leaves).
