Extremely scarce, no other examples found online. Program detailing a series of performances held June 7-9, 1968. The program appears to have been a part of the Midsummer “happenings” organized by Christophe de Menil at her home in Amagansett, Lon...g Island, but includes a thank you to Cornell University for providing the space, so perhaps it was held elsewhere. The event included performances of “Bottom” (1968), “Face Tunes” (1967) and “Song” (1968) by Marian Zazeela, La Monte Young, and Simone Forti (here performing as Whitman, right before her divorce from Robert Whitman), “Pedestals” (1961) by Simone Forti and Robert Rauschenberg, and “Falling” (1968) by Virginia Gianakos, Chris Gianakos, Barbara Jarvis, Molly Chalsant, Steve Paxton, Joe Schlichter, Peter Pool, Forrest Myers, Richard Van Buren, and others. In Very Good condition with some creasing from being folded in fourths and lighter crease wear from handling throughout. There is some significant age toning to the corners and some tearing along the edges, along with two very small holes to the bottom left and near the upper right. Scarce in any condition. Please see photos for condition details.
