Alright auction it is. This is a 1791 Isaac Collins Family Bible the first Family bible printed in the US and the First Printed in New Jersey. This Bible was fully restored last December. The Bible is complete except for the last two or three pages from the concordance. All title pages are present, including Isaac Collins writing “To the reader”. The Bible’s pages were very slightly trimmed, but still very nice borders. There is some foxing but for the most part the Pages have ag...ed rather well. Four leafs from the book of Luke were trimmed wrong, leaving them a little crooked, and there is a section from Mark to Jude in the upper spine portion of the pages that have a 3/8 inch darkened area with a small tear. You will see this in one of the pictures. Nevertheless it has strong borders and the Bible is in Good shape overall. Who ever buys this Bible will have a wonderful heirloom to pass on.
