The Cirkus upgrade (Introduced:1993) with the new bearing and the sub-chassismake an enormous difference to the overall performance of the turntable. It provides the LP12 with greater stability and to ensures the bearing sits perfectly true to the chassis. This upgrade includes the following:A new redesigned bearing;A new stronger sub-chassis assembly;
A set of stronger springs;A new armboard;A new inner platter and spindle.
Thebearing housing height has been increased to improve lubrication; its mountingflange thickness has been substantially increased; the geometry of the top andbottom liners in the bearing housing has been altered to further reduceincidence of rocking. Thickness of the sub-chassis was doubled to improverigidity, reduce flexing and improve control of the relationship betweenturntable platter and arm.
