We are offering LONESOME DOVE, A NOVEL By Larry McMurtry; Simon and Schuster. New York, NY. (1985.) First Edition. This book is hard-bound in black paper covered boards, with a gilt stamped black cloth spine, in a dust jacket with light scuffing and soiling. The covers show light edge-wear and light rubbing to the corners. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and clean. There are a few faint spots of soiling to the fore-edge. This book is the true First Edition, with "None" in...stead of "Done" on Page 621, Line 16 "he had none nothing." This book is signed/inscribed by the author, Larry McMurtry, on the front free end-page. There is a TLs (Typed Letter Signed) signed by McMurtry laid-in at the front.
From the collection of Cuthbert Christian Thambimuttu (1945-2019) of Columbus, Ohio - known to many of his bookseller, author, and illustrator friends as "Tubby." He was persistent in the pursuit of autographed books by the writers and artists he admired, including Gorey, Sendak, Heaney, Byatt, Morrison, Updike and many more.
