Something for everyone!These items are some of the better selections I have had available in a while!Here you are bidding on the scarcest Crosley pieces you will ever find for sale! I have only seen three other such items in over 45 years of collecting!!Early ...on, Crosley recognized a need to provide boxed components for the amateur/experimenter interested in developing their own receiver designs. So, the company introduced a modest line of Crosley Experimental Units engineered to let these folks customize their own circuits. It was a short-lived offering and the small number that were ever produced are basically non-existent today!This auction is for two, essentially mint examples of these Crosley Experimental Units: The Condeso-Unit and the Tuno-Unit! Also included is a Crosley Crystal Detector Unit made by Wireless Specialty Apparatus Company which would allow one to construct a complete receiving outfit with the addition of a phone condenser, headset and antenna!! Both Units are beautiful examples with their Adam Brown mahogany finished cabinets and the attached card displaying the internal "hook-up" details. When opened the internal workings look as they did the day they were assembled with a redolence reserved only for what time does to things... The Crosley Crystal Detector is in great condition and is the final essential element necessary to complete a receiving circuit.All photographs represent the three items quite well. I have also added a photograph of an advertising/promotional flyer of the Crosley Experimental Units for your reference. It, however, is not included in the sale.
