You are bidding on this vintage Stanley No. 55 Universal Combination Plane. Marked: "Stanley Rule & Level Co." plus "Pat'd Sept. 19, 93", and "Pat'd Jan. 22, 95". As best I can tell with my very limited knowledge of such things, this plane is complete and fully functional, with the exception of cutters, paperwork or the original box. None of this is included. What is pictured is what you get. This combination plane appears to be in very good condition. There is some minor finish loss ...in places, some stains, nicks, scratches, some old surface rust and corrosion to others. The very uppermost point of the handle on the left side has a discolored piece. This is not broken and repaired, it's all original, just discolored. Net weight of plane alone is 7 pounds.These items are from the Estate of a long time collector/user. They are being presented as found. The only clean-up I did was brush off any saw dust, grease or dirt necessary to improve on the identification marks of the item. I'll leave all clean-up, if necessary, to you. You will get them as I found them, with all the dirt, dust or grime you would expect from an old time collector. Please view all the photos and e-mail any questions you may have.
