You are bidding on a fine antique Meissen figurine depicting a man gazing at a posy in one hand and holding a spade or shovel in the other while his little spaniel dog rests at his feet. His hat is slung under his arm with a pouch. The figure is 7-1/2" tall. Most antique Meissen figures have some damage, repairs or... losses. I have not found another figure in this mold that still has the garden implement, as apparently they are easily broken. This one is in excellent condition with one little leaf that has been glued and the handle of the spade also glued to the base. I see no other issues and no restorations. The figure is marked with the Meissen blue crossed swords underfoot, first quality, along with mold number 2696 and 727? I am adding a photo of that area for you to take into consideration.
