This mug is in Excellent Condition no chips, cracks, or repairs. Very slight manufactured roughness, there is faint crazing throughout and 1 faint below the glaze line on the top inside, it does not extend to the outside, you cannot feel it with your fingernail, and some slight surface wear to the pewter lid. ...You can refer to the pictures we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The mug measures 5 1/2" tall at the finial x 4 1/4" tall at the top rim x 2 3/4" the top rim diameter x 4 3/4" wide at the handle x 3 1/2" at the base and weighs approximately 1lb 5oz. The base is marked impressed F. Heyde 47 Avenue A. Great small cylindrical form, slightly tapered in as you get to the top rim. great hand tooled and applied handle and 2 bands of cobalt blue each with a bordering incised line. Frederick Heyde made pewter lids in the mid 19th century and he would order from a local NY stoneware maker these mugs to sell with his lids, he would have the makers put his name and address on the bases.
