You are bidding on a fine antique Meissen figurine depicting a woman holding an open bird cage while a spotted lamb at her feet looks on. The figure is 10-1/2" tall and was modeled circa 1885 by Johann Joachim Kaendler. Most antique Meissen figures have some damage, repairs or losses. I see two leaf tips broken from the foliage... near the woman and a small chip to the back upturned rim of her hat. , but no other issues. The figure is marked with the Meissen blue crossed swords underfoot, first quality, along with stickers from previous owners or dealers. It is numbered 10-1976 according to the sticker, but I do not see these numbers in the mold.
