Original Description:
Miniature early 19th century linen blue wool work sampler by Elizabeth Pearson - 1811. Worked in various shades of blue, this tiny sampler is completely charming with neat-ish stitch work throughout. The upper section of the linen is stitched with rows of alphabet letters and numbers underlined with a row of six crowns. The lower section of the linen is stitched with three further rows of lettering with Elizabeth's name and the date of March 12 1806 running across the bottom edge.The l...inen has overall discolouration consistent with its age with patches of faint staining, and the blues of the thread are good. The last photo is of the reverse of the sampler and indicates how the colours would have looked when Elizabeth first stitched it. Measures  4" across x 4 1/2" ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK.
