Offered for sale here is a set (4) of chinoiserie style faux bamboo mahogany Drexel Heritage armchairs. This set came from a living estate (downsizing) sale and were manufactured in the 1970's/1980's. The chairs have square backs with round turned back spindles, round turned arms, legs and crossed stretchers, all fashioned in a faux bamboo manner. The chairs have round double-cushioned seats upholstered. These upholstered seats give the appearance of being cushions, but in fact th...ey are of one piece and fastened to the chair. The Base Color of the Chair upholsteries are: olive greens and black.The Accent Colors are: Red, pink, mauve, blue, gray, tan, brown, white.
The fabric is bright and crisp.
It is a vintage print, with a wild field of large and small flowers and vines and elderberries.
Chair dimensions are: 34 " to top of back rest, 23" wide at the widest point, and 20" deep. The seat cushion dimension is: approximately 18" deep by 22" wide. The inside width between the armrests at the widest point is 19 3/4".
The condition of this set is very good to excellent, clean and solid. The occasional chips on the clear coat surface in the finish of the chair(s) arm or leg edges from light normal use have all been filled and repaired, bringing the hardwood surfaces back to near pristine condition.You will not be disappointed with the quality and condition of this Set of Chairs.
Shipping:
This Set weighs in at approximately 80 lbs. total + packing container weight. These are some options available to the Buyer for shipping: 1) Free Shipping, up to $200 value to almost any location in the Lower 48 States. If the cost of shipping should exceed the $200 limit, the Buyer would be responsible for the difference. 2) I generally utilize the Uship shipping service for larger items. It is usually a white glove shipping service that offers delivery to your door . It may take a few days extra in order to set up the shipping schedule, but believe me, it is worth it.
3) I could deliver the set personally if within 150 miles of my midwest location.
4) Buyer pick up. Of course, you or your agent are free to pick up at your expense and time. If this is your preference, a shipping cost deduction would be in order. However, the purchase price would have to be revised before the purchase, so if this would be your intent, please contact me so that I may revise the sale price, and then you could proceed with closing the transaction.
Insurance:
Though I do prepare and carefully pack all items for safe and secure shipping, insurance is highly recommended if using a third party shipping/transport service, and would be the purchasers responsibility.
