Hello, and welcome to our auction for this Extremely rare and stunning antique French Empire Style “7 arm gilded bronze candelabra”.signed AD underside with numbers also. Please see pics.This beautiful candelabra is supported by a heavy tripod base made up of three mythical looking creatures - with features of both a dragon and a lion, with one impressive clawed foot each.This is a large candelabra, holding 7 candlelights and branches, and with a mythical ‘faun’ to the centre o...f the candlelights. She is sat upon her own small column wearing a lower garment of leaves and with cloven hooves. The long slender central column holds a candle snuffer - on a small hook attached to the side of the column.The candelabra measures approx 35 inches in height.Please note- These would have originally had chain hanging down between each candle.
