Up for auction we offer an original WWII US Helmet liner.
Khaki color webbing.Comes with a mint nape strap.Webbing has a fray cut were the nap strap snaps are (see pic).
Part of the lines chin strap on present, the rivet is marked United Carr.
Sweatband is a later add on for display. looks to be a Nam era band.
No visible cracks or structural damage, accept for a small hole drilled in the front above the liner rivet. (see pic)
Marked d 32 and a W over an O for West...inghouse on the inside crown.OD green paint is cracking and flaking, has an outline of a Div sticker.
Overall a solid, highly collectable liner, with a quality maker name.
