Vintage 1899 GARDES DU CORPS BERLIN cut glass mug with silvery plated brass lid. 7 3/4" height. 3 1/4" diameter at lip, 3 1/2" diameter at base.
There is a pinpoint chip at the base, virtually unseen unless searching for it. The cut base has much surface wear, of 120 years. There is a very small chip on the interior, under the lid. (see pic) o/w very good, with the cut glass clear and shining.
The engraving remains clear and legible, unworn; the helm...et, and the design beneath are in original condition. There are very minor indentations where the lid has been bumped, on the front.
