His sensuous depictions of scantily clad young women alsofound their way into his Biblical paintings and although he receivedcommissions for several important buildings - including the church of SaintSulpice in Paris – his work was considered quite scandalous by many in theCatholic Church. Glaize exhibitedat the Paris Salon between 1836 and 1894, and today his paintings are held innumerous important collections, including that of the Louvre in Paris.
