Up for auction is an amazing Niello 84 Silver Cigarette, Snuff and Matches Case. I don't know if this is 18th or 19th century Silver. Tried to find the hallmarks and makers marks to match to no avail. This is a beautiful set. I haven't found one similar on ebay or the interweb so here it goes for auction. Starting at $1 no reserve Specs:The Snuff container Has a beautiful Russian church with gorgeous niello. Condition is 9/10 has some small surface scratches to the ...face. the rest is in ex cond. It has a tight push button latch.The container measures: 7mm x 48mm x 17mmit is hallmarked HX with 84 silver markweighs 74 Grams
The matches caseHas a Gorgeous checkerboard Niello with a built in striker.
Condition is 10/10. It has a tight seal when closed and a good tensioned spring.Container measures: 55mm x 27mm x 13mmHallmarked M&Sweighs 28 Grams
The Cigarette Case has the same gorgeous matching checkerboard NielloIt is monogrammed CH . There is a twist hinge to open the case. When open the tension springs are strong and tight.There are no silver hallmarks on this piece I am aware of. The bottom has a few small places of damage. There are a few pits and areas where the enamel has come off. The bottom right corner has small area where it is dented.The inside flange could use a good cleaning.Container measures 108mm x 58mm x20mmweighs 112 grams
