After 18 years of trying we have finally designed and produced a small range of split cane blanks we like ...alot!! This two piece blank is impregnated and finished "flamed", it also comes with a spare tip section and nickel silver ferrules (not fitted). These blanks are manufactured for us to exacting standards from seasoned Tonkin cane and the 7' 6" blank is based on a Payne 100 taper. The butt OD is 0.320" or 8.12mm and the tip is 0.066" or 12.67mm.Building a split ca...ne rod takes more care and attention than a standard carbon or fibreglass blank and fortunately there are many good rod builders on Youtube who are happy to share their tricks of the trade to enable you to get a really good result especially if this is your first foray into building with bamboo.
