*EXCELLENT* WWII Japanese Samurai Sword SHIN GUNTO World War 2 KATANA WW2 BLADE
Description: I BUY SWORDS ANDWHOLE COLLECTIONS!CONTACTUS with any questions! 804 23 9 549 0Item Description:This is an original Japanese army officers sword in Shin Gunto mountings fromWorld War 2. The blade and... the mountings are in Excellent condition. It is a healthy sword and has a bladelength of 26.25 inches (66cm). The hada is a tight and visible itame. The hamon is a straight suguha hamon that is present the lengthof the blade ending in a maru boshi.The tang is signed Nobumitsu. It isdated Showa Jyu Hachi Nen Jyu Ni Gatsu, or December 1943. The mountings are Type 98 ShinGunto and in Excellentcondition. The tsuka is silk-cord wrapped with cherry blossom menuki. Thewrapping is tight and there is little to no fraying. A blue and browncompany grade officers tassel is attached to the tsuka. It is in excellentcondition. The tsuba is the classic WW2 design with four accompanying metalseppa. The saya (scabbard) is green painted metal and is in excellent condition.It shows no dents and some scattered small areas of missing finish, retaining roughly90-95% original finish. There is alocking mechanism present. The blade is in Excellentcondition. There is one very small micro nick in the kissaki, a very few smallscattered spots of rust, and a few small scratches along the blades length.There are no major flaws like hagire. Given the condition, I thinkthis sword would be an excellent addition for a collector of WW2 militaria orJapanese swords.Terms and additional items: This item is original and not aknockoff or fake.
