Crown Gasoline Standard Oil Company Rare Sign. Double sided. We found this sign in my grandparent's garage, when they passed away. My dad said he remembered seeing it when he was a kid in the 1940s. My grandparent's were from the mountain area of Whitesburg KY in southeast Kentucky.As you can see it has some bad places. Some of the paint has hairline scratches in it and is not perfectly straight. But not to bad to be from the early 1900s. I saw on one web site its from arou...nd 1906.The metal is pretty solid throughout, with a little rust. It measures 26 × 26 with a wall mount lip with 10 screw holes.
