AMAZING LARGE 19TH JAPANESE MEIJI SAMURAI CAT MOUSE FIGURAL BRONZE CENSER VASE Hello, thank you for having a look at our auctions. Up for Auction with NO RESERVE is a AMAZING LARGE 19TH JAPANESE MEIJI SAMURAI CAT MOUSE FIGURAL BRONZE CENSER VASE The Censer is one of the finest Meiji Period Japanese examples I have sold in a long time. The Censer features exceptional quality throughout with great figural details such as the Cat and Mouse lid handle and the Mice pulling the rope wrapped around a melon and a cat perched at top. I have never seen another like this. I am told the Censer dates to the later 19th Century and is a rare find.
Condition: The Censer is excellent condition with damage or repairs, just nice signs of use.
Size: The Censer is a large and impressive example measuring 15-1/2 inches tall overall by 7-1/2 inches wide. The Censer also has a quality Bronze weight of 4787 grams. Take another look at the photos, this is an amazing example and I doubt you will see another like it come up for auction again, let alone selling without reserve !
