REPAIRED 1971 Fender Stratocaster Neck Vintage Strat 1970 1969 Jimi Hendrix Spec
Item History & Price
This neck is identical (minus the repairs, of course) to the one Jimi Hendrix had on his favorite white 1969 Stratocaster that he played at Woodstock. This is one of the last vintage four bolt necks Fender ever made, as they switched to the inferior three bolt micro tilt necks later in 1971. They were made with these exact specs from late 1968-1971, making this one of the last true Hendrix spec necks made by Fender. So, for those of you into this kind of thing, it’s a great piece of Fender and music history without breaking the bank, and it’s truly a functional piece of history, which I always found cool.
This neck is completely original except for the repairs. That means that the finish, decal, and frets are all prime original 1971. The original frets have minimal wear. This neck is in crazy good shape overall for a neck that’s almost half a century old.
The nut width is 1 5/8” and the profile is a thinnish/medium C with the typical late 60’s/early 70’s profile.
This neck is guaranteed to be 100% authentic 1971 Fender, again with no modifications other than the professionally repaired cracks in the heel area. Please make sure you are aware that it was repaired, so therefore it is NOT in mint condition, and some collectors might take issue with this. This is a player-grade neck due to the repair.
Please make sure to view all of the pictures before bidding! Please feel free to ask any questions and will be happy to answer them. I will usually get back to you before the end of the day.
This would be perfect for a restoration project.
